BIOGRAPHY OF CHARLES MORELLO

2006-2009 Director

Chuck began his career with General Motors, Saginaw Malleable Iron Plant as a co-op student in 1982. He received his Bachelor of Industrial Engineering from Western Michigan University in 1986. At the Malleable Iron Plant, Chuck held several positions in manufacturing, quality systems and manufacturing engineering between 1986 and 1994. In 1994, Chuck received a General Motors Fellowship and attended the University of Tennessee and completed his Masters in Statistics. Upon graduation, Chuck was transferred to Saginaw Metal Casting Operations as Gen III Block Launch Manager. At SMCO, Chuck also served as Quality Systems Manager and Director Manufacturing Engineering. In June 2004 Chuck was transferred to GM Powertrain Global Headquarters as Director of Manufacturing Strategies and Planning Support.

Chuck is a new member of the Detroit Windsor AFS chapter. He is a long time member of the AFS Saginaw Valley Chapter where he served on the Board of Directors. Chuck was also a member of the Saginaw County Chamber of Commerce Board of Directors. He enjoys spending time with his wife Susan and their son Caden.
